NEW YORK – With the top three BET Awards nominations go to Kanye West, Beyoncé and Jay-Z; it looks like a family affair.

The organizers have revealed the nominations on Tuesday in New York.
Kanye West is on the top with seven nominations, while the wife of his mentor Jay-Z, Beyoncé is on second number with her six nominations and Jay-Z himself earned five BET Award nominations.
Jay-Z
and West teamed up last year on the album "Watch the Throne." Their
songs – "In Paris" and "Otis" – are nominated for the category of ‘video
of the year’. Beyoncé has two nominations in the same class
with "Love on Top" and "Countdown." The fifth nominee in this category
is Usher's "Climax."
The show which is scheduled to be held on
July 1 will be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson. Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj
will perform is the show which will be held at Shrine Auditorium in Los
Angeles.
Other multiple nominees include Brown, Lil Wayne, Drake
and J. Cole. Maze featuring Frankie Beverly will receive a lifetime
achievement award.
