Whitney Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown invited to attend the funeral on Saturday

NEWARK, NJ (Feb. 17) – ’s ex-husband Bobby Brown will surely be there to attend legendary pop singer’s funeral, as he has already been invited by the Houston’s family, TMZ reported.

According to details; Bobby Brown has been invited even though many of the Houston’s family members were against it because they believe that Brown had its part in the physical and psychological collapse of Whitney Houston. 

The Houston’s family sources revealed that the step was taken at the eleventh hour just to for the sake of a peaceful funeral and family members thought the presence of Brown would help them in this cause. 

TMZ reported further, citing sources close to Bobby Brown, that before the invitation there was no plan to attend the funeral but after a changed scenario, he (Brown) will certainly be there on Saturday.

Remains of Whitney Houston Reached Newark (New Jersey) for Funeral Possibly on Friday

LOS ANGELES – As per the latest details; the body of legendary singer , who passed away on Saturday, was sent from Los Angeles to her native place New Jersey on Monday, where the funeral services will be offered. Apart from rumors going around; the cause of the death of the singer, who had long battled drugs and alcohol, is still not established.

According to further details; Houston’s remains were being transported to NJ by a plane owned by actor-producer Tyler Perry. Few members from Houston’s family also were also in the plane flying to New Jersey for a funeral and memorial.

Plans were not yet finalized, said a spokesperson, but the funeral and memorial services will be held possibly on Friday in her hometown of Newark. 

The singer with golden voice, the 48-year-old Whitney Houston, was found dead on Saturday after-noon in a suite of Beverly Hills hotel. Police earlier at a news conference to clarify media "rumors", said singer's body had been found underwater in the bathtub but refused to guess on the cause of her death.

LOS ANGELES (Feb. 11) - Legendary pop singer Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her magnificent voice and imperial figure were ruined by excessive drug use, died on Saturday afternoon. She was 48.

Gossip website TMZ has reported that she died in a suite on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles where she was a guest. She was pronounced dead at 3.55pm local time.
The R'n'B singer's press officer Kristen Foster confirmed the news to Associated Press on Saturday (February 11). Foster said the cause of her death was unknown; but an unconfirmed report later emerged which said that Houston had been found in her bathtub.
According to the LA Times, she was due to attend record producer Clive Davis' pre-Grammys party at the hotel, alongside the likes of Quincy Jones, Tony Bennett, Akon, Cee Lo Green, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Jackson Browne and Elvis Costello. Houston herself had won six Grammy Awards.
The death of Hosuton is likely to make a enormous bang on this year's ceremony, which sets to take place tonight (February 12). Davis was the man who 'discovered' Houston when she was singing in New York nightclubs as a teenager.

Whitney Houston rose from a gospel church choir in New Jersey to become one of the best-selling and most-admired female singers of all time.

With hits like "I Will Always Love You" - the theme song of what was her film acting debut in "The Bodyguard" opposite Kevin Costner in 1992 - and "The Greatest Love of All," Houston won six Grammys and more than 400 other awards in a 25-year career.


Her soaring voice influenced singers ranging from Beyonce and Alicia Keys to Mariah Carey and Celine Dion - and inspired thousands of copy-cat performers on TV talent shows.

Her early successes also made her one of the first black artists, along with Michael Jackson, to find success on MTV. She later became the kind of singer and actress who could cross international barriers as well as ethnic ones.

"She had everything, beauty, a magnificent voice. How sad her gifts could not bring her the same happiness they brought us," singing legend Barbra Streisand said in a statement.

Critics hailed the range of her voice and the passion behind her performances.
